Salary Increase

For salary, a pay step increase will be applied from the first working day at the police department.


January 1, 2022   1.5%

New Hire Start $57,448 and top wage of $81,407 after 5 years.

2-4 Years of Experience Start $62,241 and top wage of $81,407 after 4 years.

5+ Years of Experience Start $67,032 and top wage of $81,407 after 3 years.

Upon promotion to Corporal, new hires receive a 10% wage increase ($89,550). 


July 1, 2022   2.5%

New Hire Start $58,884 and top wage of $83,443 after 5 years.

2-4 Years of Experience Start $63,797 and top wage of $83,443 after 4 years.

5+ Years of Experience Start $68,708 and top wage of $83,443 after 3 years.

Upon promotion to Corporal, new hires receive a 10% wage increase ($91,789). 


July 1, 2023   3%

New Hire Start $60,651 and top wage of $85,946 after 5 years.

2-4 Years of Experience Start $65,711 and top wage of $85,946 after 4 years.

5+ Years of Experience Start $70,769 and top wage of $85,946 after 3 years.

Upon promotion to Corporal, new hires receive a 10% wage increase ($94,543). 

Preferred Job Experience

Prior experience also allows officers an earlier opportunity for certain preferred jobs such as Field Training Officers.  FTO's are also compensated at a 10% higher rate.
